Engineering Design & Analysis, Ltd.
|
. . . .
is a specialty engineering consultancy providing analytical, project engineering, project
management and heavy lift engineering services to the refining, petrochemical, oil sands,
heavy oil, pipeline and power generation industries.
Our experience and reputation is built on providing quick-turnaround & timely, cost-effective, reliable solutions and
non-acadmic treatment for FFS / AIM projects directly to facility Owners, manufacturers & EPC contractors.
Our analytical solutions are made to recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices.

Fitness for Service (FFS) / Asset Integrity Management (AIM)
Closed form and numerical FEA solution techniques are used to
assess the structural and mechanical integrity of facility assets in a managed
framework, perform fitness for service (ASME FFS - 1 / API 579) and service life
assessments of deteriorated equipment; original contributions in DCU coker drum
analysis & reformer fired heater component reliability have been recently made to the literature.

 |
Design, Rerate, Alteration & Climate Change
Design, re-rating, alteration reviews in relation to climate change impacts
are becoming increasingly necessary as the design basis of many facilities are
being invalidated by climate change effects. Past construction Codes and Standards
are falling short in protecting the integrity of existing and planned facilities; specific
facility equipment is being particularly affected resulting in major risk exposure.

Equipment Operational Excellence & Benchmarking
To ensure heat transfer equipment is operating at optimal efficiency,
performance testing during equipment commissioning and through
operational lifetime is needed. To operate equipment at less than optimal
efficiency impacts the plant bottom line and contributes to loss
and the plant's environmental footprint. SGU, HRSG, OTSG, fired & unfired heat
transfer equipment are primary candidates for regular monitoring & performance testing.

 |
Training, Logistics & Mentoring
We provide on-and off-site training in design, materials selection, fabrication
and inspection for the construction and post-construction maintenance of pressure vessel, heat
exchanger, steam generation, piping and atmospheric storage tank equipment used in refineries,
oilsands, petrochemical and power generation facilities. These courses are further supported with
training in asset integrity techniques (fitness-for-service) and by dedicated mentoring.
